Yes you need to run the next command gz-launch websocket.gzlaunch in another terminal, then click on connect in Gazebo.
OK. I now have three terminals up and running and have connected to both Gazebo and Foxglove. I will close the simulation for now as it is time for lunch.
Thanks for your help - maybe clarify the inctructions.
Awesome! Yeah thanks for pointing out the gaps. Will clarify them in the course. Enjoy your lunch ![]()
I’m now at the Chapter looking at model libraries. The command to list the contents appears incorrect.
ls ~/.gz/fuel/fuel.gazebosim.org/openrobotics/models/table/tip/
does not show anything but
ls ~/.gz/fuel/fuel.gazebosim.org/openrobotics/models/table/4
shows the model listing as described in the text
And when I get further the expected model
https://assets.leetrobotics.com/1.0/leetrobotics/models/iscas_museum
does not exist
Thanks for highlighting the path to the table asset. I’ve updated it in the course.
With respect to the ISCAS Museum asset, are you facing the error when running the museum world in gazebo?
I added the lines in to the sdf, saved and then tried to re-run the gz command
gz sim -r -s museum_world.sdf
Unable to find or download file
If I type the address directly in to Firefox I get
{"detail":"Not Found"}
Could you check where you have created the museum_world.sdf?
Maybe the path to the file is incorrect.
That is the problem. It has been created under the gz fuels directory not in the root. I will check again tomorrow to see if this is my mistake or whether the instructions could be clearer. R.g. after inspecting the models under fuel go back to the root before creating museum world. I am now logging off for today
You’re right, it should have been more specific in the instructions. Thanks for pointing it out. We’ll update that section accordingly.
Take rest, I’ll be here when you login next time.
